About us

Founded in 2014, AmaVida supplies natural and ethically-sourced frozen superfoods to cafes, restaurants, hotels and health food stores across the UK.

We believe that our food choices go beyond what’s on our plate. What you eat, where it comes from, and who is responsible for getting it to you all has a direct impact on the health of people and planet. With this in mind, we strive to ensure that AmaVida enriches the lives of each individual along the way, from our farmers to our customers.

Founded by two Brazilians who crossed paths in London, Rayder and Vinicius bonded over a mutual passion for martial arts and the desire to build a business which would have a truly positive socio-economic impact.

AmaVida promotes sustainable farming and creates jobs in the communities it works with. Our premium-grade superfoods are nutrient-rich and energising, harvested from the depths of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil, forests of India and small farms in Nicaragua. Through AmaVida, Rayder and Vinicius bring the highest quality natural superfoods from around the world straight to you in their purest, tastiest and healthiest form. Celebrating the benefits of a plant-based diet and a deep respect for the earth, AmaVida’s philosophy is simple: Love Life, Love Earth.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help people feel more connected to the food that they eat while inspiring them to make better choices and lead a more mindful, healthy lifestyle.

Through our purpose-driven business, we consistently support a sustainable industry that ensures fairness to local communities and encourages environmentally friendly practices every step of the way. We partner with small-scale farmers and invest in transferring technology to them to continue cultivating these foods as nature intended, without the use of harmful chemicals and other damaging techniques which are commonplace in conventional agriculture.

By sharing our love for the Amazon rainforest and organic farming, we aim to connect conscientious consumers to the quality, natural ingredients that have been a staple source of nutrition to locals for thousands of years.

In 2014, AmaVida launched with frozen açaí packs, later expanding our range with two more exotic fruits, dragonfruit/pitaya and jackfruit. We are excited to soon be offering more products, including a wider variety of nutritious frozen fruits as well as ethical utensils such as coconut shell bowls, allowing you to enjoy the taste of AmaVida in style.

Our Products

All of our products are ethically sourced and proudly harvested from local farmers in the land they are native to, ensuring their most natural flavour.

The full range is certified organic and vegan. Just 100% natural ingredients that are free from preservatives, herbicides and fertilisers, and with no added sugar or artificial flavourings.

Our processes are continuously monitored to ensure we don’t destroy the essential nutrients which are naturally occurring in our products. Our production ensures good working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for the farmers and workers.

All of our products are certified Soil Association organic. Because the fruits are grown in their natural state without the influence of chemicals, they develop the highest concentration of compounds such as antioxidants and vitamin C. Organic crops are known to be 60% higher in key antioxidants than conventionally-grown ones!

Premium Grade

Our açaí is ‘premium-grade’ (Type A), meaning it has the highest concentration of actual açaí fruit in the pulp. It’s characterised by a deep purple colour and is bursting with antioxidants.

Wild Harvested 

Our fruit are collected by hand from a native ecosystem that is respectful of the natural landscape, wildlife and plant biodiversity of the surrounding environment.

Freshly Frozen 

Our products are picked, packed and frozen directly at the source where they are harvested. This is all done within a day of peak ripeness, ensuring all of the nutrients and flavour are preserved. They are 100% fresh and lightly pasteurised to ensure safety.
